9th July - I need a kick up the butt

Ok I thought I was having a pretty good week, but when I look back I dont think I am. I have kind of lost a bit of motivation? And I so dont know why!

I think maybe because I had a badish week but it still dropped off me, so I have slackened off a bit. And a couple of pairs of pants that didnt fit are now fitting - ones even lose now! So yeah I admit I have slackened off.

I have had a couple of comments lately about my weightloss which is great, but I cant help but think about them - one was from my brother and it seems so weird that he noticed (last time I lost 15kgs he didnt notice lol) so I think maybe his wife put him up to it - although I havent told her Im losing so maybe I should just take it on board what he said and so what if she put him up to it at least she noticed right?! It could all be in my head too though he might genuinely have noticed?!

Im still feeling crap today, sore throat and runny nose is the worst - and man Im tired even though we went to bed at 8pm last night!

Netball tonight which is good because its my first bit of exercise this week! Naughty eh.

So I dont think there will be any weight loss for me this week, I certainly dont feel like I have lost anything.

And I feel GUTTERED.

I need to pick myself up - NOW.

HELP!

Hmmmm - it can be hard to stay focused.
Try and remember WHY you are doing this. Doing things like putting up a picture of WHY (Brittney, swimming togs, skinny photo etc) in a 'food' place (like on the fridge or pantry door) can help. It reminds you to keep focused.
In regards to exercise - doing things like getting your exercise gear out and sitting it somewhere obvious (like on the sofa or kitchen bench) can help remind you to go and take a walk (or whatever exercise you want to do). Also, getting a exercise buddy might help - I'd offer, but the most I do at the moment is AquaFit at QEII and Preggy Yoga!!
Other things that might help is putting up a chart to track your progress and show how close to achieving your goal you are.
Or small (non-food) rewards for weight loss each week. No loss, no reward. Rewards linked to loss, so $100 each 100 gms can also work. (You might want to talk to Dean about this!!)
But as Megs said above, sometimes we have hard weeks. They do happen, so don't be too unkind to yourself.

Thanks Megs x

Oh E thanks so much! You have helped heaps - god it helps having an ex WW leader as a great friend! I've just printed out a picture of the girls and Im going to stick it inside the pantry! Thats when Im bad is when I get home from work before Dean gets home, Im hungry then and thats when I pick - any ideas for that?

Lol about exercise and you offering - I could probably join in on the Preggy yoga - I look pregnant! Lol. How is preggy yoga by the way? Is it good?

Great idea about the chart seeing how close I am etc - I'll make one of those tonight thanks again.

You guys are brillant - love your work x

Of course, I have ideas for EVERYTHING!
Make a 'after work snack box' - get a big box/tupperware container and fill it with lots of goodies that have low or no points and allow yourself one or two things out of the box. Ideas - cup of soups, fruit, ww fruit cups, ww breakfast bars (get someone to go to a meeting to get you some), small pinkie bars etc. Also do a fridge one, with yogurt, cut up vege sticks etc.
On top of the box stick a really motivating image or saying on it to help you remember why you want to do this.
This really works!!! It makes thing so easy if you have everything ready to go and know that you have CHOICE...

This time its going to happen said...

Great great great great great ideas thank you!
